The White Horse is an attractive, 16th century pub in the village of Hascombe nestled in the Surrey Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. Located just 8 miles from Guildford and at the crossways of numerous footpaths, cycle routes and bridleways including the Greensand Way.

Our Dry Ager

At the heart of our kitchen stands a true centrepiece: our state-of-the-art Dry Ager. This precision-engineered cabinet allows us to age our meats in-house.

Landlord Joe and the team warmly welcome you to our charming, 16th-century country pub tucked away in the picturesque village of Hascombe. Set within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just 8 miles from Guildford, the pub is full of character, history, and the kind of quirks that make a country pub truly unforgettable.

Though Hascombe may be small, it’s surrounded by some of Surrey’s most spectacular countryside. A quick 15-minute drive brings you to Guildford, while those exploring on foot, bike, or horseback will find themselves at the crossroads of scenic routes including the iconic Greensand Way.

We are a firm favourite among locals and visitors alike, offering something for everyone – from hand-pulled real ales and refreshing spritzes in the sunshine, to indulgent three-course dinners crafted with the finest seasonal local British ingredients. Head Chef Ray and his brigade of chefs take pride in their craft, aging prime cuts of beef in our in-house dry ager to deliver unmatched flavour and tenderness to your plate.
